Looking for a new opportunity in the Optics and Imaging Marketplace? Optyka Limited, a leader in adaptive optics, has a unique opening for Product Visionary/Manager working with an experienced optics, electronics and software engineering team. Responsibilities include developing the existing adaptive optics first generation product, incubating new product concepts, and meeting with customers to determine the needs and future of the market. Work with a variety of disciplines including sales, marketing, and design engineering in this challenging role as you develop objectives, presentations and financial proposals for your new product initiatives. Some travel will be required.

Duties

• Responsible for developing, articulating and delivering an overall strategy for the company's products.
  
• Work closely with CTO, Sales and external experts to build an in-depth understanding of each market/segment, opportunity and competitive threat.
  
• Support development of long-term Technology and Product Roadmap to deliver realistic returns on investment.
  
• Be the central decision maker for products within evolving product line. Must be able to direct cross functional engineering groups.
  
• Be responsible for product launches.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physics or an Engineering discipline.
  5-10 years of experience in optics and/or imaging.
  
• Strong negotiation skills.
  
• Product and technology knowledge a must.
  
• Demonstrable experience of gathering design requirements and converting them into a product vision.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  
• Willingness to work across disciplines.
  
• Strong team spirit with ability to motivate tightly knit group of high performers.
  
• Excellent problem solving and creative thinking capabilities.
  
• Entrepreneurial and Leadership drive with appreciation of user-experience, business, and commercial issues.
