About Us
Dyoptyka is a privately-held optical systems research and development company based in Dublin, Ireland. Our Dynamic Optics technology offers disruptive improvements to a variety of optical systems, in particular those of digital projection displays. We aim to commercialize this technology in a variety of different ways.
Our History
The company was established to exploit market opportunities created by advances in micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) optical device technology that made its inclusion in consumer products desirable and affordable.
Research, development, and intellectual property protection has been ongoing. Several patents have been awarded, with a variety of others currently undergoing examination in various jurisdictions.
Functional prototypes have been constructed and evaluated. Response to these from potential customers in a variety of markets has been very encouraging.
Technology
We have invented, constructed, evaluated, and patented a series of novel optical systems for application in digital projection displays and personal displays. Optical elements with dynamically-controllable shape or refractive characteristics are used to achieve reductions in optical, mechanical, and manufacturing complexity.
This leads to improvements with respect to all the important characteristics of projection display optical systems: image quality, functionality, physical dimensions, and cost.
